Sobota Becomes Latest BUFC Alum to Play College Soccer

Trio of Mundial, Tiempo Teammates to Reunite on Soccer Pitch

Beach United Football Club does more than prepare players to compete in soccer at the club and high school levels. It also gets them ready to play collegiate soccer.

Such is the case for longtime BUFC player Bryce Sobota, who will graduate from the Academy of Arts, Science and Technology in Myrtle Beach in June. Sobota will attend Oxford College at Emory University, located just outside Atlanta, to play Division III soccer for the Eagles.

Sobota played for Beach United throughout his youth soccer career and starred at Myrtle Beach High School to earn the opportunity to play at the college level. He wil be reunited with a pair of former BUFC and Seahawks teammates on the soccer field, albeit it on opposing sides next time.

Among the teams on Oxford College at Emory University's 2018 schedule is the University of South Carolina-Lancaster, where a pair of former BUFC Mundial and Tiempo teammates - Nicholas Beauchamp and Savoy "Fefe" Brown - are entering their sophomore seasons.

The trio is among several BUFC alums to take their talents to the college level. Providing top-level instruction and competition, BUFC prepares players to excel and open more opportunities for themselves through the sport of soccer.
